StepEurope ry is a volunteer based organization. The active youth volunteers are in charge of planning and implementing the activities with the support from the project manager, project coordinator and interns. The board is the decision making body, which is supporting the employee’s and interns’ work. 

Ronja Kankare

Vice President

Anu Leppänen

Board Member


Anu has Bachelor degree in Arts. She loves to travel and meet new people. Anu works with youths and encourage them to explore world and take active part of citizenship. Email: info@stepeurope.org

Tewodros Mekonnen Negash

International Coordinator


International activities coordinator and member of the Board, one of the founders of StepEurope ry. MA of International Human Rights Law. He loves working with people from all over the world and encourage them to an active citizenship. In StepEurope ry he is in charge of the international cooperations and funding applications. Suvi Satokangas

Board Member


Studies youth work and civic activity at Humak UAS. She is new member in StepEurope family, but she has been involved in international actions while studying. Melina Negash

President of the Board


Chair of the board and one of the founders of the organization. Master of social sciences, specialized in social work. Her passion is travelling and exploring new cultures. Emilia Plichta



Actively volunteering in different StepEurope activities since spring 2018. Master of Education, passionate about multilingualism and intercultural dialogue. Emilia believes that active citizenship plays an important role in modern society and wants to encourage everyone to get involved. She loves crafts, laughing with friends and good food.
